LACK OF EXPOSURE = MISSED OPPORTUNITIES
Inequities exist in STEM education & careers. The vast majority of
K-12 schools do not teach Computer Science (CS). Females and underrepresented minorities have minimal exposure to CS courses, and technology careers. The Every Child Codes Initiative (ECC) provides free and reduced tuition for customized STEM and Robotics courses.
Students learn to be creators of technology, not just consumers.
The ECC Initiative is a partnership to significantly increase the number of underrepresented minorities in robust STEM programs, with emphasis on grades K-8. The program teaches technology creation, including application coding, robotics, cloud development and cybersecurity.
ECC works with districts, schools, teachers, and students to provide STEM curriculum, school-specific data, mentors, community building and tuition grants for 20 students per application.
Activities include 3D Character Animation, Video Game Design, Mobile App Development and Drone Stunt Coding. Together we can give all children the opportunity to be future innovators.
It's no secret technology is revolutionizing every industry. 21st Century STEM education incorporates teaching methods relevant in today's marketplace, and engaging to a tech savvy generation.
