The Weekend Power Coding Program enables students in grades K-8 to become Code Heroes. The Program provides dynamic STEAM enrichment that encourages kids to be the creators of technology, not just users. The Code Super Powers environment and curriculum is engaging and fun, while teaching students valuable skill sets needed for 21st century learning.

Technology is revolutionizing every industry. We provide a safe space and encouragement to stimulate confidence and creativity in children. Kids become Code Heroes as they learn to create custom video games, mobile apps, and animations. They also control robots and pilot drones, using computer code!

Our STEAM Instructors (Code Sparks) provide one-on-one guidance to Code Heroes. We place major emphasis on good stewardship and purpose driven technology. There are great opportunities for students to gain lucrative careers in technology, but more importantly, there are opportunities to solve societal issues and make life better for everyone.

The Weekend Power Coding Program is STEAM enrichment disguised as fun. Students in grades K-8 are divided into age appropriate groups and given theme-based projects. 

Early elementary grades are introduced to programming using puzzles and connecting visual blocks. Students solve coding puzzles to get familiar with basic programming concepts such as sequencing, conditions and loops. 

As they advance, students create their first working programs. They solve problems, build interactive scenes, use keyboard and mouse inputs, add sounds and music, use speech bubbles, and program characters to move and interact with other objects on the screen. Students advance from visual block coding to text languages like JavaScript and Python.

Drone Coding Studio  (Grades 3-8)

HTML & CSS I & II  (Grades 7+)

JavaScript I, II, III  (Grades 7+)

Python I, II, III  (Grades 7+)

Optional Lessons:
Mindcraft Modding, LEGO WeDo 2.0 and MINDSTORMS EV3 are incorporated at various stages. These technologies may require a one-time licensing fee, ranging from $14 - $49.

Flexible Scheduling. This is an on-going program. You may enroll at anytime and receive the full course. If you miss a class it rolls over to the next week. You're allowed one make-up class per month.
